Cleveland, OH

Cleveland, Ohio on Lake Erie was our next stop.

Why and when Cleaveland became Cleveland without the “a” is not really known.

But we do know it is on Lake Erie

and Home to the Rock ‘N’ Roll Hall of Fame, the birthplace of Rock ‘N’ Roll

Also home to the Great Lakes Science Center

And FirstEnergy Stadium, home of the Cleveland Browns

A brief walk through downtown showed some remarkable architecture and the Fountain of Eternal Life surrounded by early 20th Century buildings.

On the way out of town, we stopped at the West Side Market for some fresh produce. Unfortunately the German Butcher was not there on a Sunday.

But Frank’s Bratwurst was open

A well rounded day of sights, history and local life that we had not thought would await us in Cle(a)veland, Ohio.
